Team Gresini’s Moto2 riders had an almost exact replica of their race at Qatar in round two at Jerez. A wet contest made conditions precarious, and many riders crashed out before the chequered flag came down. Michele Pirro finished ninth on his first time in the wet with the Moriwaki MD600, but Yuki Takahashi had worse luck and crashed out after losing the rear of his machine.
